Successful financing remains a fundamental challenge within Iran’s technology and innovation ecosystem. This research was conducted with the aim of identifying and prioritizing the factors influencing successful financing within this ecosystem. The research methodology employed was a mixed-methods approach (qualitative–quantitative). In the qualitative phase, influential factors were identified through semi-structured interviews with experts. Subsequently, in the quantitative phase, a two-round Fuzzy Delphi method was utilized to validate the identified factors and determine their respective weights. Based on qualitative findings and a review of theoretical foundations, a questionnaire based on structural models of latent factors in prioritizing factors affecting financing was designed and distributed among 180 selected experts using the Cochran formula.. Furthermore, to ascertain the weights of the main and sub-indicators, a pairwise comparison questionnaire was completed, with data collected from 16 specialists. Final analysis was performed utilizing specialized network analysis software. The results showed that the most important factors influencing the success of financing in Iran’s biotechnology and innovation ecosystem, in order of importance, are: Incubator and Acceleration Programs, Venture Capital and Angel Investment, Collaboration with Universities and Research Centers, and Support from Government and Local Authorities. Based on these findings, developing supportive policies to strengthen incubator programs, foster innovative investments, enhance scientific collaborations, and bolster governmental support platforms can play a decisive role in improving the innovation financing system and advancing the nation’s technology and innovation ecosystem.
